Managers, supervisors and Human Resources professionals often find themselves dealing with difficult employee issues. Employees often confide in them, not only on work-related issues but also on personal matters, which can result in these individuals giving unqualified advice or make them feel obliged to be non-professional counsellors.
It can also be difficult when a manager identifies an employee who may need support and doesn’t know how to help them. Equally difficult can be managing issues which affect a whole team.
Whilst your managers want to be supportive, they may feel out of their depth in certain situations and simply do not have the experience to deal with them. Although they may discuss these issues with another colleague, or Human Resources professional, sometimes they may not wish to highlight that these issues are outside their area of expertise.
Our ManagerAssist service is dedicated to those with management and supervisory responsibilities and can be integrated as part of an organisation’s EAP, or offered as a stand-alone service.
ManagerAssist offers immediate access to information on any subject that may be impacting upon a manager, their team, or an individual. The service is provided by a team of dedicated experts, including those with management experience and members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Our experts can provide guidance on tackling a broad range of issues, including:
- Performance management
