Sickness absence is a significant cost to all businesses. Not only are there the direct costs of salary and sick pay, but there are also considerable costs in relation to management time, disruption and lost productivity. Some studies estimate that these indirect costs can be twice as high as the direct costs.

Occupational Health Services

Employee Advisory Resource offers Occupational Health (OH) services, led by highly experienced consultant OH physicians. The principal focus is to provide organisations with a high quality, national management referral and case management service to reduce long term, extended and frequent short-term absence. By using our professional OH service, your organisation can:

  • Reduce staff turnover by improving retention
  • Comply with Health and Safety legislation and the Disability Discrimination Act
  • Boost staff morale through effective management of unnecessary absence

  • Achieve a significant return on investment

Our OH physicians provide unambiguous guidance and support in relation to:

  • Management referrals
  • Fitness for work assessments

Rehabilitation Case Management

Employee Advisory Resource works within a Public Private Partnership with the NHS in developing a national UK return-to-work scheme. With this experience, our rehabilitation case managers can offer your organisation pro-active services for employees with an injury or disability (physical, mental or emotional) to facilitate both their recovery and an early return to work. They work in a wide range of settings and can offer any of the following:

  • Assessment
  • Medical, therapeutic or occupational services co-ordination
  • Rehabilitation plan development
  • Transferable skills assessment and return to work planning, co-ordination and monitoring

Our rehabilitation case managers get involved as early as possible to:

  • Take responsibility to meet the precise needs of an employee who is referred to the programme
  • Undertake a comprehensive assessment of the employee
  • Make recommendations on return-to-work strategies and interventions
  • Develop and co-ordinate a programme specifically designed for an efficient, safe and lasting return to work for the employee
